This project involved the complete design and development of the official website for the Saudi Arabia Rugby Federation (SARF). The platform serves as the central digital hub for the Federation, dedicated to promoting the sport, organizing events, managing community engagement, and providing comprehensive information on national teams and local tournaments.
The entire platform was built on WordPress, leveraging its flexibility to manage a dynamic, content-heavy, and bilingual sports organization website.
The scope of work included both front-end design and comprehensive back-end development features:
-
Front-End Design: The design focused on a professional, engaging, and action-oriented interface in English (and Arabic). It ensures clear, easy navigation to key areas such as National Teams, Tournaments (Men’s, Women’s, Youth), and community registration forms.
-
Back-End Development: I implemented various custom functionalities crucial for federation operations, including:
-
Development of custom pages and templates to organize structured content like the multiple tournament series, national team profiles, and the organization’s governance structure.
-
Integration of secure form submissions for multiple membership types, including registration for players, clubs/teams, match officials, and coaches, creating a centralized community database.
-
Implementation of other core functionality, such as a blog and articles system for sharing official news, announcements, and match results, along with a calendar system for upcoming events.
-
This project successfully delivered a robust, feature-rich platform that supports the SARF’s mission to grow rugby across the Kingdom and connect with its diverse community.
